While his father Joe Wier celebrates behind him, senior Andrew Wier kneels down after winning the MSHSAA 190 pound State Title, Feb. 24. Wier finished runner up at State last year, but he came back with a 32-4 record and a State Championship in his senior season. The Lancers finished 2nd as a team at State this year.

Holding his buddy’s bowling ball, junior Evan Sommer points out the finger holes to senior Ravin Koduru. Sommer accompanied Koduru to the Unified Bowling Tournament practice round on Nov. 28 at Bowlero Lakeside Lanes. Sommer said he was impressed with Koduru’s attitude. “[Koduru] is always smiling and he’s always happy and energized and I love that. He shares that energy with everybody around him and just brightens up a room with his high energy,” Sommer said.

Coach Derek Bader said he has seen improvement in the team throughout the season.  “In terms of performance, the whole team has seen improvement in their game, seeing their overall averages increase,” Bader said.
