Lafayette will be hosting the Winter Carnival on Jan. 21. The event is designed for pre-K-elementary school-aged students and features a variety of indoor activities. The event was last held in December 2020.

The Winter Carnival serves as a fundraiser for the Freshman Class.

“The Winter Carnival will benefit the Senior Celebrations of the Class of 2026,” Winter Carnival Chair, Shalini Arya, said.

Overall admission to the event is free, but there will be a charge for the individual games and food. The Winter Carnival will have over 40 games and food. The Winter Carnival will be held in both gyms and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In order to make the event run smoothly, more volunteers are needed.

“We need volunteers for the set up on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and for Saturday from either 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or noon to 3 p.m,” Arya said,

Students can sign up to volunteer if they go to ParentSquare and adults can sign up to volunteer at this link.

The Winter Carnival committee is also still in need of donations. Prize donations can be found on its Amazon Wish List, and cash donations are accepted online. Additionally, the concession and supply donation sign-up sheet can be found here.
