Currently serving as the Dean of Mathematics and Sciences at St. Charles Community College, Mara Vorachek-Warren was appointed to fill the position of Director for the Rockwood BOE May 30. She will be sworn into the position June 6.

Girls wrestling wins Districts, hockey stays undefeated in round-robin

Weekly Sports Update Feb. 5-11

Boys Basketball

The Lancers went 1-1 this week. They first lost to Pattonville 45-40 and then won against Parkway Central 44-38. The Lancers have two away games this week. First Whitfield Feb. 13 and then Mehlville Feb. 15.

 

Girls Basketball

The Lady Lancers also went 1-1 this week. They first lost to Holt 49-41 and then bounced back against Parkway North 52-40. The Lady Lancers will first play Pattonville away Feb. 13 and then will play Lindbergh at home Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.

 

Hockey

The Lancers are now 2-0 in their round-robin playoff games. After their win over Priory the Lancers beat Seckman 8-0. Senior Greyson Eble had a hat trick and an assist in the win. They will play their last round-robin game against Fox Feb.13 at 9 p.m. All games will be played at Maryville University Hockey Center.

Girls Wrestling

The Lady Lancers won Districts and are sending eight wrestlers to State Feb. 22-23. Seniors Toby Goertz, Maddie Johnson and junior Hannah Henderson all won their weight classes. Junior Aaliyah Grammer and sophomore Layla Gardner both finished 2nd. Senior Mera Flores, junior Ashlee Dakin and sophomore Ella Kimbrough all finished 4th. 

 

Girls Swimming and Diving

At Districts, junior Lucia Tenny finished 2nd and senior Eva Vierling finished 8th in diving. The Lady Lancers will compete at the MSHSAA State Championship at the St. Peter Rec Plex Feb. 15-17.
