On April 8, during the eclipse, librarians, Jane Lingafelter and Robin Van Iwaarden, look at the sun using solar viewers, while on the field. Students and staff spent time on the field during the eclipse. The next partial eclipse in Missouri wont be till 2045.

Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.” 
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Boys wrestling finishes undefeated in duals, girls swimming finish 5th in Conference

Boys Basketball

For their fifth win of the season, the Lancersbeat Oakville 60-47 this week. Then, they lost to Ladue 68-55. The Lancers will take on Pattonville at home Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. and will also travel to Parkway Central Feb. 9.

 

Girls Basketball

Last week, after losing against Parkway West 48-28, The Lady Lancers bounced back and won their fifth win of the season against Ladue 49-35. They will take on Holt at home Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. and will also travel to Parkway North Feb. 9.

 

Hockey

As the Lancers go into the postseason, they will compete in a round-robin stage. In their first round-robin game, they beat Priory 4-1. Their next two round-robin games will be against Seckman Feb. 5 at 7:50 p.m. and Fox Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. All games will be played at Maryville University Hockey Center.

 

Boys Wrestling

The Lancers went undefeated this week. First, the Lancers beat Marquette 59-18 and then they won against Francis Howell 67-9 and Waynesville 60-15. The Lancers have finished the regular season undefeated in duals.

 

Girls Wrestling

The Lady Lancers went undefeated this week.The Lady Lancers beat Marquette 54-24. Then they beat Francis Howell 57-15 and Waynesville 48-30.

 

Girls Swimming

The Lady Lancers finished 5th in the Yellow Pool Suburban Conference Meet. Junior Lucia Tenny won the meet in diving. Junior Nour Abdennadher finished 4th in the 200-meter individual medley. In the 100-meter backstroke and the 200-meter freestyle respectively, seniors Megan Bilsland and Ellie Kipper finished 5th. The Lady Lancers’ 200-meter medley relay and 200-meter freestyle relay also finished 5th. The 200-meter medley relay consisted of Bilsland, senior Olivia Clerico, sophomore Isabella Clerico and Kipper. The 200-meter freestyle relay consisted of junior Talia Ramsey and freshmen Claire Luna, Aditi Roy and Sydney Schulze. The MSHSAA State Championship will be at the St. Peter Rec Plex Feb. 15-17.
