Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Boys Wrestling

The Lancers, improving from last year, finished 2nd in State, Feb. 23-24. Senior Andrew Wier took a bracket, becoming a State Champion. Senior Drew Mattison and freshmen Carter Brown, Caleb Frankenberger and Riley Sumner all finished 3rd at State. Senior Dylan Roth finished 4th, alongside junior Aiden Schoen. Roth became the second-ever Lancer to medal all four years at State. Sophomore Calum Brown finished 6th. Andrew was happy his father and team coach, Joe Wier, had a front row seat to his State Championship win. “I wanted him  to be there because he’s pushed me my whole life and I really wanted to [win] for him. We can pick who our coaches were and he doesn’t normally coach me, but I picked him to be my coach for that match to share that moment with him,” Andrew said.

With the same finish as last year, the Lady Lancers placed 6th at State. Senior Maddie Johnson was a State finalist, finishing 2nd. Senior Toby Goertz and junior Aaliyah Grammer finished 4th. Junior Hannah Henderson placed 5th and sophomore Ella Kimbrough finished 6th.
