Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Boys Basketball

In their Coaches vs. Cancer game against Eureka, the Lancers lost 50-40. Later in the week, the Lancers traveled to Maryville University for the Coaches vs. Cancer Holiday Tournament. They went 1-2, winning against Liberty 57-53 and losing against Webster Groves 75-50 and Troy 65-59. On Jan. 3, The Lancers will play at home against Kirkwood at 7 p.m. Despite their losing record, Head Coach Bryan Keim believes that this tournament was a valuable experience. “Our guys played hard and gave us a chance to win. Ultimately, we were a bit too inconsistent which led to us not finishing the tournament the way we’d hoped. We had a great experience and will use those games to learn and grow from,” Keim said.

Girls Basketball

In their Coaches vs. Cancer game against Eureka, the Lady Lancers lost 52-19. They then went 0-3 at the MICDS Holiday Tournament, losing to Fort Zumwalt West 59-30, Collinsville 41-29 and Ladue 47-36. The Lady Lancers will also host the Fred Ross Invitational, Jan 6.
