Cheer for Charity event scheduled for Nov. 16

Lafayette cheer squad is hosting their 6th annual Cheer for Charity Fundraiser. The Lancer cheerleaders invite dance studios and other local schools to come and cheer with the Lancers. All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Cheer for Charity organizer Crystal Gray said, “The reason we wanted to start Cheer for Charity is we felt that the cheerleaders needed to do something to give back to the community and they thought this would be a good opportunity to do so.”
For admission to the event, the cheerleaders are accepting$ 5 donations or cleaning supplies.
“We looked at the Ronald McDonald House wish list and they got several different categories of things that they want ranging from food to cleaning supplies and we decided that cleaning supplies would be our focus,” Gray said.
Cheer for Charity will take place Nov, 16 at 3 p.m. in the Main Gym.

My sister, [Class of 2020 alumni] Grace Kirtley, started STL Spark when she was in high school and she would have people carry it on after she graduated, Mary said. Last year I got invited to join the board again with my sister, senior Patty Kirtley, and so weve been working on carrying her legacy a bit.
