Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

On April 11-12, students will perform in the annual presentation of One Acts. These short plays are casted and directed by the Theater III class under the supervision of Natasha Toro, theater teacher.

“Each night is different, there are different shows going on and they’re all student directed,” Toro said.

Junior Erin Horner, an actress in the one act, “Oprah Made Me Do It,” is excited for the upcoming performance.

“It’s definitely a comedy, there’s just a bunch of ranges of emotions the characters display, physical action, people just laugh the whole time,” Horner said.

Horner’s director, junior Garrett Thompson agreed.

“You’re going to laugh a lot, it’s really funny and the actors make it hilarious,” Thompson said.

Along with “Oprah Made Me Do It”, six other one acts such as “Boys Night” and “Cinderella Wore Combat Boots,” will be performed at 7 p.m.  Thursday and Friday night.

Tickets cost $5 if bought during lunch and $8 at the door.

“[The audience] gets dessert, and they get to see how hard the students work at directing, its a win-win,” Toro said.
