This year’s musical, “The Sound of Music,” will be put on by a cast and crew from Feb. 7-9 at 7 p.m. in the theatre. Tickets will be sold Feb. 4-8 in the commons during all three lunch shifts and at the door. The tickets will cost $5 in advance and $8 at the door.
The play will feature a variety of previously undiscovered school talent, be it singing or acting. Cast, crew and directors are excited and ready for these performances.
Junior Sara Ruby, a nun in the play, is feeling great about crew readiness.
“We’re doing great, a little more and we’ll get there.” Ruby said. Natasha Toro, director, also believes her cast is well prepared.
“I think we’re ready to rock and roll. We are very lucky to have such an amazing, prepared cast for such a big show.”
Both Toro and Ruby are very excited, and believe the crew feels similarly.
When asked, Ruby said, “Yes, I am super duper excited. I get to wear a habit. But yes, I think it’s going to be great!”
In addition, Toro said, “Yes, we are all very excited. I think we’re just ready to open this thing so that people can see how excited we are.”
