Every three years the Rockwood School District creates a Climate Survey to help benefit the many different schools in the district.
“The purpose of the survey is to collect ideas from patrons about Rockwood School Climate and Health Services,” Director of Assessment Roxanna Mechem, said. “We do this every three years to determine how people feel about things such as our teaching and learning environment, safety, the school as a welcoming community, parental involvement, etc.”
Although the survey results won’t be available until February, Rockwood hopes to get positive results.
One downside to the survey is it’s length: seven full pages of questions.
“The survey includes elements from several different departments to meet the data collections needs in a single survey. While the survey is a bit longer, we hope that only being asked to take one survey instead of several will outweigh the inconvenience,” Mechem said.
