Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Fame Auditions begins Aug. 30-31

Actors Wanted! Auditions for the play Fame will begin in the Theater after school on Aug. 30 and 31.

“We need everyone,” Natasha Toro, the director, said. Whether you can sing, dance or act, all talents are welcome. Sign-up sheets are on the billboard outside Room 107.

A typical audition starts with students reciting a monologue, then performing. Then, Toro may ask a couple questions about schedule conflicts. Call backs are scheduled for Sept. 1.

If any student is feeling nervous about their audition, Toro said, “I want them to know I’m harmless, I just want them to come and show what they got.”

She also wants students to “do their best. If they don’t make it, join the next one.”

Even without having a part, students can still get involved by joining the crew. To join, students are asked to fill out a crew packet, which can also be found outside Room 107. The first crew meeting is Sept. 6.

Toro says she’s looking for crew members “who are willing to work and get creative.”
