Zombie infection spreads through Lafayette

Infecting the hallways is a senior prank created by senior Matt Slimmer.

“Basically we took the concept of a zombie apocalypse and we changed it over to a school setting,” Slimmer said.

While news of the “infection” quickly spread to many students, it has run into some road blocks with trying to spread the word.

“We had posters on the wall of stuff, which got taken down and we originally had chalk message that were going to be on the side walk, but evidently some of the letters looked like curse words so we had to clean that off,” Slimmer said.

The infection is spread through a number of “host” infected. “I made a bunch of armbands over the weekend, passed them out to the first generation, and they have been passing them along,” Slimmer said.

Some teachers have also been involved such as Language Arts teacher Dawn Indelicato-Faw.

“I got an armband, so I guess I am an honorary zombie,” Indelicato-Faw said.

While being a senior prank, it is not exclusive to the senior class.

“I call it a senior prank, but it’s basically my prank to go out with a bang,” Slimmer said.
