Bravo, Werre lead Lancers to 2-2 record

Lafayette picked up its second win of the year after defeating Parkway North with ease, 9-2 on April 6.

The offense, defense and pitching were showcased for the Lancers. Junior Drue Bravo started on the hill for Lafayette and spun a gem, giving up only two runs in a complete game performance.

Bravo could pitch relaxed because the offense, led by senior Tyler Werre, was feeling it, especially late in the game. Werre hit a moon shot for a home run and, in his next at bat, hit a two-run double to put the game out of reach for the Vikings.

Junior Khalfani Mar’Na also provided a spark with the bat, going 2-4 with a double. The Lancers look to extend their short winning streak to three games on April 7 at home against the Oakville Tigers.
