Sport: Girls cross country
Head coach: Jill Harmon
Previous season placement: The Lancers finished 7th at the MSHSAA Class 5 State Girls Cross Country Championship with a total score of 210 and five runners earning All-District titles.
Goals for the season: Harmon said the team plans to make the state meet this year. “Because we have a lot of our returners back, it brings a whole lot more experience to races in the season and the postseason,” Harmon said.
Runners to watch: Harmon mentioned juniors Kelly Archambeault and Alexis Sandberg and sophomores Marli Groenewald and Claire Robeson as key runners this season.
Team slogan: “We can do hard things,” Harmon said. “Running a lot of the time is mental, so that’s something I repeat to them a lot.”
What makes this team different: “They work together a lot because they know the goals and expectations and to get there they have to do it together so they rely on each other a lot during training,” Harmon said.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
