STUCO Executive Board elections see new officers promoted

Student Council (STUCO) had some tough competition at this year’s executive board elections with three people running for almost every position. They were held on March 11, 2014.

Taylor Hall, junior, was this year’s Assistant Dance Chair and was automatically awarded Dance Chair for next year, so she had the pleasure of relaxing at these elections.

“Elections were interesting this year… everyone was very competitive,” Hall said.

Next year’s Vice President, Rachael Krajewski, junior, was in it to win it. The campaigner arrived early to the meeting and greeted each STUCO member with candy and a “Vote for me!” as soon as they walked through the doors. A lot of hard work was also put into her speech, and it clearly paid off.

“I’m super excited for next year and I can’t wait to help shape what will hopefully be some of the best homecoming activities, blood drives, and fundraisers Lafayette has ever had!” Krajewski said.

Next year’s STUCO executive board:

President – Katherine Trout

Vice President – Rachael Krajewski

Secretary – MaeMae Huang

Philanthropist – Madeline Seabaugh

Communication – Mackenzie Sigman

Spirit Chair – Nikitha Chellaswami

Dance Chair – Taylor Hall

Assistant Dance Chair – Allison Hallums

All except Hallums are Class of 2015 (the new Assistant Dance Chair is currently a sophomore).
