That Was My Jam: Meghan O’Donnell

Kevin Vera

Every week, The Lancer Feed will feature one Lafayette staff member and present a playlist made up of some of their favorite musical memories from high school.

Meghan O’Donnell, Fine Arts

Meghan O’Donnell, Class of 2001

What is a song that reminds you of a fun special moment from high school and what was that moment?
Where’s the Love by Hanson.  My dad took me to LA to see them at the Hollywood Bowl and we had really close seats. We were in front of David Hasselhoff and his kids, so my dad is obviously awesome. During that song, Taylor (the middle one) looked at me and waved and my 15-year-old self couldn’t handle it. I’m talking about a total fan girl freak out.

What song did you listen to when you needed cheering up when you were younger?
If Only by Hanson

What favorite song from high school do you still listen to pretty often?
The Call by Backstreet Boys

What is your all-time favorite song and why?
King of Wishful Thinking by Go West. It is the greatest jam on the planet.

What song did you blast in your car after a good day?
Can I Get Your Number by No Authority

What song seemed to always be played at every school dance or pep assembly at your school and what did you think of it?
Girls Just Want to Have Fun.  I went to an all-girls school and every time this song came on, I walked off the dance floor. {insert super annoyed eye roll here}

Name your TOP FIVE favorite songs from high school.
Mmmbop by Hanson
Bye Bye Bye by NSYNCH
Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Country Grammar by Nelly
Waterfalls by TLC
