Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

For over a decade, J.K. Rowling’s iconic Harry Potter series has won a special place in the hearts of children and adults across the world. lhsimage.com asks junior Connor Knutson about his fascination with the series.

Q: How would you best describe the Harry Potter series and your connection to it as briefly as possible?

A: Harry Potter has been a big part of my life since I was a little kid. It’s basically about this kid who discovers that he’s a wizard, then he goes to this magical school where he meets other amazing wizards. After that, he basically just has to defeat all evil. It’s pretty awesome.

Q:How do you feel the movies compare to the books?

A: I think the movies are good, but they left a bit too much out from the books. You wouldn’t understand the story as well if you just watched the movies instead.

Q: Which book or movie is your favorite?

A: As far as the books go, I really like number three because of the plot twist towards the end. When it comes to the movies, I’d say Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two. It stuck to the book the most.

Q: What is your favorite character from the series?

A: Probably Bellatrix Lestrange. She’s a just such a great character, even though she’s a bad character. You just love to hate her.

Q:  Do you have anything you would like to say to anyone who has not yet read or seen any Harry Potter?

A: First of all, I’d probably ask why not. Then, depending on what they say, I would respond accordingly. I’d tell them to give it a try if their only reason is because the books or the movies are too long, but if it’s just because they think they wouldn’t like it, I would tell them that’s just stupid.
