While everyone has different ways to express themselves, junior Alexa Benson chooses to express herself through drawing.
“I like to draw because it’s relaxing and rewarding to create something.” Benson said
Benson admits to drawing in class at times when classes slow down
She said, “I spend a lot of my resource time and lull periods in class drawing and just expressing what I feel.”
The inspiration of her art comes from many things “[I get inspired] by music and the people in my life as well as the many artists I enjoy.”
Benson said her favorite form of art is to watercolor paint, but drawing is much easier to do and the materials easier to a hold of.
She really enjoys drawing faces and showing the various expressions of different people and the various emotions she is trying to get across. Oddly enough she said she really enjoys drawing furniture in different and strange locations.
Benson said that drawing is an outlet for her emotions more then just expressing her emotions through her art.
