In the 5.5 square mile area that was being focused on, there was an average population density of 71.5 deer per square mile, with some places having up to 94.5 deer per square mile. According to the Missouri Department of Conservation, across the state there is an average of 10-40 deer per square mile. After Wildwoods culling operation, roughly 54 deer were removed per square mile from the 5.5 mile area.

How To: Make sushi

Sushi is a traditional Japanese dish that comes in many varieties. Basic sushi is simple to make and tastes great.

Materials Needed: 
Rice cooker, sticky rice, sushi roller, avocado or cucumber, Sashimi grade raw fish (*see COMMENT below) or crustaceans and seaweed (rice vinegar, sugar, and olive oil should be added for taste) 

Directions: 
1. Cook rice in rice cooker for roughly 15-20 minutes 

2. Peel cucumbers and slice vertically 

3. Lay seaweed on sushi roller, then distribute cooked rice evenly on the seaweed, but leave a thin stripe clear at the top of the roller

4. Place cucumber and fish on the rice in desired portions at the bottom of seaweed 

5. Put a small bit of water on the top part of seaweed left empty, and then tightly roll with the sushi roller 

6. Cut sushi roll into portions, and enjoy!
