Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Turnabout “Starry Night” will take place Saturday, Feb. 25 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during all three lunch shifts. The price of a ticket is $10 for a single and $20 for a couple.

Student Council sponsor David Choate encouraged people to arrive to the dance early.

“The first 400 people get linking glasses with LED lights and glow-in-the-dark necklaces and wristbands,” he said.

Students had unique ways of asking their dates to the dance. Freshman Elizabeth Weider will be attending the dance and is going with one of her best guy friends.

“I drew a picture of fire with the ‘Hunger Games’ symbol, his favorite book. I was kind of nervous, but we are friends, so it’s cool,” she said.

Freshman Colleen Pavia is also taking one of her best guy friends.

When asked how she asked him, Pavia said, “I put a baseball in his locker and it said ‘Turn-a-bout?’ on it. I chose a baseball because he is playing baseball for Lafayette this spring.”

During the Turnabout Court voting and ticket sales, STUCO also had dress up days. Wednesday is USA Day, Thursday is Nerd Day and Friday is Spirit Day.

The DJ for the dance will be TKO.
