Senior information 101

With the year winding down, seniors are focusing on finals and graduation.  Here is a quick post  on all the information seniors will need to know for the next upcoming weeks.

Senior Finals:

Exams are May 11 for all Zero Hour classes.

After that, standard class finals are as follows:
May 15: 6th and 7th Hour
May 16: 3rd, 4th and 5th
May 17: 1st and 2nd

Blocked classes are as follows:
May 15: 3rd and 7th
May 16: 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th
May 17: 1st Hour final

Seniors must attend the classes they are taking the final in, until the final is complete.

Honor Cords:
Honor cords are being handed out to students who meet the qualifications for each department. Check outside the deparment hallways for your name to be on the list. If you beleieve you should have gotten an honor cord but don’t see your name, ask the department head teacher and have them go over the qualifications with you. Honor cords will be worn during graduation.

Graduation Practice:
Graduation practice will be held in the Back Gym at 8:30 a.m. on May 18. Seniors will do a quick run through of the ceremony and will also receive their cap and gowns. Each senior will be given 10 graduation tickets to give to family and friends. The Senior Magazine will also be distributed at the practice.

Graduation:
Graduation will be held at 7 p.m. on May 24 at the Chaifetz Arena. Seniors should arrive at 5:30 p.m. to practice and take pictures. All pictures should be completed before the ceremony starts because cap and gowns must be returned immediately after the ceremony. Seniors must turn in their cap and gowns in order to receive their diploma.

Senior Celebration:
This year Senior Celebration is being held at Chesterfield Sports Fusion. Celebration is on May 24-25. Check in begins at 11:00 p.m. and ends at midnight. A photo ID is required at check in. Celebration ends at 5 a.m. but if you need to leave earlier, a parent or guardian must come to check you out. Tickets can be purchased through May 21 for $70 and at the door for $90. Tennis shoes and socks are required to participate in celebration activities.
