In spite of a great comeback in the 3rd period of the Senior Night game, the Lancer Hockey team could not get ahead of the rival Marquette team. Senior forward Spencer Glazer, who contributed two goals on the night, scored late in the 3rd period, tying it 3-3 with 3 minutes left. But after a delayed penalty in the defensive zone on Lafayette, Marquette’s Sam Turner put in a back-door goal with 45 seconds remaining, making it 3-4 Marquette. The score remained until the buzzer, with Marquette securing the victory.
The Silver Skate trophy, marking the rivalry between the two schools’ hockey teams, remains at Marquette for another year.
