This school year, there will be more new faces than just the new Freshman Class. There will be 17 new staff members, including 13 teachers, two secretaries, an ISS teacher and a classroom assistant.
The new staff members seemed excited and nervous about the coming year, while mingling at the welcoming lunch in the Library on Aug. 7.
Magda Villwock, a new science teacher, said she was most excited about “joining a team committed to excellence in academics.”
However, new business teacher, Scott Beaver, said he was anticipating getting involved in the extracurricular activities.
“I heard [activities are] a really big deal here,” he said.
He is hoping to get involved in tennis and possibly Renaissance.
