Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Boys soccer continues winning streak

The varsity boys soccer team has had yet another week of outstanding play.

The team played Northwest House Springs on Sept 8., besting the Lions 2-0. They then went on to face Fort Zumwalt South on Sept 9, winning 4-0.

The wins have pushed the Lancers’ record to 4-0, also making them the Suburban West’s defensive leader, as junior goalkeeper Drew Garrone has yet to allow a goal this season.

“The boys had a successful week,” Head Coach Tim Walters said. “Defensively we have done very well as a unit.”

As well as the team is doing, they can only get better as the lineup becomes more permanent and the positions more practiced.

“Hopefully I can figure out the starters and also the individuals who will get us quality bench minutes.  I’m still trying to work a few in to see what contributions I can get from them all.  With 25 kids it has been difficult. It’s an awesome group of kids, but the real test will come when things don’t go our way, Walters said.
