Friday night, Lafayette came up short in a back-and-forth contest against Lindbergh.
A strong Flyer defense and a lacking Lancer offense ended the game 56-66 to give Lindbergh the win, Jan. 31.
Although Lafayette finished the game ten points behind, the Lancers held the lead 19-16 with 6:28 remaining in the second period.
The game turned around quickly; however, as Lafayette (8-10) fell behind, their deficit began to grow. The third period would end with Lindbergh (8-9) in the lead 36-48.
Lafayette responded with three-point shots from junior guards Cooper Myers, Nolan Savoie and Brady Micek to cut Lindbergh’s lead, 54-57.

Lancer hopes began to rise but were quickly let down after the Flyers scored nine more points on the Lafayette defense to raise the Flyers over the Lancers, 56-66.
