Senior kicker Jake Ference made a 30 yard field goal with 21 seconds left to lift Lafayette to a 23-21 win over Kirkwood in the Lancers’ home opener Friday. Senior quarterback Jack Behl completed 19-of-39 passes for 259 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception for The Lancers (3-0). The defense also held its ground with 3 interceptions, 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and 1 touchdown, according to St. Louis Post Dispatch.
During the 1st Quarter, Lancers scored a field goal taking a 3-0 lead.
After another Lancer touchdown with a good extra point, the Pioneers fought back, scoring a touch down of their own.
