Boys soccer hopes for a stronger future after difficult season
Coming off of their record of 13-8 in the 2016 season, the boys soccer team has had a rough 2017 season. They finished the regular season with a 7-11-3 record.
“We’ve had a rough season. Our team definitely isn’t as good as previous years, and we lost games we should have won and won games we should have lost,” senior Luke Bader said.
Bader and his team had many goals this season, but they were unable to accomplish many of them.
“We expected to win over half our games and right now, we haven’t been able to do that,” Bader said.
Over the course of the season, the team has grown closer despite the unexpected rough season.
“I feel like we have become better friends and teammates even though we haven’t reached the level of success we had expected,” Bader said.
The team’s season is on the line as they play De Smet on Oct. 24 at 4:30 p.m. at CBC. Although the team’s season is not officially over, they are hopeful for success in future seasons.
