Big Hero 6 movie is a must-see, another amazing Disney production

Big Hero 6, an animated movie directed by Don Hill and Chris Williams is an exciting film that follows the adventures of Baymax, Hiro and his “hero” friends. This is a Walt Disney film, which also produced “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Frozen.”

The film takes place in a city called San Fransokyo: a fictional place that is a mixture of North American and Japanese culture.

Hiro Hamada, the main character, is a 14-year-old boy who is a genius in technology. His older brother, Tadashi Hamada, is a college student at  technological university. While many of his colleagues are developing next-generation technology, he is working on a self sufficient, artificial intelligent (AI) medical droid called Baymax.

Both Hiro and Tadashi go to a college convention to help Hiro explore a career but a fire breaks out, kills Tadashi and destroys Hiro’s nano-bot project. After there is evidence that someone stole his technology, Hiro goes out on an adventure with Baymax and Tadashi’s friend to find the “thief” and get more information regarding the events at the convention.

This animated film was a great film because the character development was very deep and personal. When a fire breaks out at the college, Tadashi runs back inside the building attempting to save his professor. However, as soon as he runs inside, the building violently explodes. At this moment, the audience knows he’s dead, even though nothing else was shown. From this point on, Hiro must move on with his life without Tadashi.

The thief who stole Hiro’s technology wears a spooky red and white mask with a black trench coat. As the movie progresses, the audience is given bits and pieces that leads to the villain’s identity and motives.

Overall, the movie was absolutely wonderful, so I give this movie nine out of ten stars. Big Hero 6 is rated PG and it’s great for the whole family. I would recommend this movie to everyone. Big Hero 6 can be described as another memorable Disney film that ceases to amaze.
