This Thursday, April 26, the Lafayette Theater Company will hold auditions for their next production, Thursday Night Live. Auditions are from 3:15-4:20 p.m. in the Theater.
When asked what she looks for in auditions, Drama teacher Natasha Toro said, “They have to be able to improv, or think at the top of their heads. Go big or go home.”
Thursday Night Live takes after the popular NBC show, Saturday Night Live. The show has a slight script, with the majority relying on the actor’s improv skills.
The production will be directed solely by the Theater III class. Auditions are open to everyone for actors and crew, but it is the Theater III class that directs them what to do.
“This production is definitely worth seeing. It’s not like any other show we do. It is way more casual and funnier than others,” said Drama Club President Laynie Henning.
There are 25 open spots to be filled by auditions. The show will be on Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the Lafayette Theater.
