The Sophomore Class will be presented with their class rings at the Ring Ceremony on Friday April 13.
Accompanied by their parents, sophomore students will be served breakfast at 6:45 a.m. followed by the ceremony at 7 a.m.
A parent speaker will talk about the significance of the ring to their children, but also what it means to be the parent of a future Lafayette graduate.
Sophomore Principal, Kirti Mehrotra, said, “[The ring] is a symbol to carry out of Lafayette.”
To many students, their class ring will be something they cherish throughout their life.
Sophomore, Mollie Macrae, said, “It’ll help me remember my high school experience.”
Although the ring has significant meaning, it’s also an accessory to many girls.
Macrae said, “I also got a ring because it’s super pretty.”
