Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Seniors prepare for annual Cardinal’s game

Seniors prepare for annual Cardinals game

Every year Lafayette seniors hold a trip to Busch Stadium to watch a St. Louis Cardinal’s game, this year’s game will be held April 19 12:45 against the Reds.

Associate principal Tim Jones said that the attendance this year is, “about 360 out of 460 seniors, that’s pretty good.”

The school decided on a day game so that students can still go to school for half of the day and then leave for the game.

Tickets were purchased for 25 dollars each, Jones added that the ticket includes, “a box seat which has a 54 dollar price on it. And you get a voucher for a hot dog and soda along with transportation to and from the game.”

The tickets were available for the students at a discount.

Students are excited to see Lafayette hero David Freese step up to bat, “he was the big hero last year with winning the World Series. We will be excited to see him and how he is doing again this year,” senior Shelby Fletcher said.

Jones said that it was important that the students sat in right field corner because that is where Freese tends to hit home-runs.
