Seniors gear up for Senior Awards Night

Every year seniors are recognized with various awards such as Bright Flight, National Merit and other athletic, artistic and academic related honors.

These seniors will be recognized at the annual Senior Awards Ceremony on April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Commons.

“Seniors will be recognized for primarily academic, artistic [and] departmental awards,”  Assistant Principal  Tim Jones said.

Nominated seniors received a letter through the mail explaining that they would be recognized.  However, Jones said any senior that comes to the event will be recognized in some way.

He said seniors will sign in at the ceremony and if they are not receiving any other awards, they will still be called on stage to have their college choice and any scholarships they are receiving announced.

In other words, any seniors are welcome to attend the Senior Awards Ceremony.
