ROTC kicks off 8th annual clothing drive

ROTC kicks off 8th annual clothing drive

For the eighth consecutive year a clothing drive will be held at Lafayette through Oct. 26. Donations will go to the St. Patrick’s Homeless Center and Children of Cote Brilliante Elementary School.

Acceptable clothing to donate includes new or used pants, shirts, coats, jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, backpacks and gloves. Clothing should be donated for children of either gender and between the ages of 5 and 11. No undergarments will be accepted.

Donations can be dropped off every day of the week to Room 162, the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) room. Cadets can help pick up the items if necessary.

AFJROTC teacher Mike Berenc said, “Children items donated will be brought to Cote Brilliante by JROTC on Oct. 31 as we have a sister school relationship with them and will be participating in their fall carnival.”

The co-sponsors of this event are National Honor Society, Community Service class and JROTC.
