Responsibility.  That’s what teachers will be on the lookout for the month of November.

Each teacher will be able to nominate one student each month that embodies the character education word-of-the-month.

For instance, a teacher, for the month of November, would choose one student out of all of their classes who exhibits a true understanding and demonstrates the character word the best.

Assistant Principal, Mandy Lewis said, “Each month, we will post the character word-of-the-month.  At the end of the month, teachers can nominate students who have exhibited that character in their classrooms.”

Unlike the nominations for Student of the Month, where only one student is recognized from every grade level, everyone who is nominated for the character educatin word-of-the-month will be recognized.

The character education words for each month are as follows: November-responsibility; December is caring; January is integrity; February is courage; March is patience, April is service and May is self control
