Russell’s Cafe and Bakery has three locations in the St. Louis area and has an extensive range of meals, drinks and baked goods.

Russell’s Cafe and Bakery is home to a wide assortment of foods, from sandwiches to coffees and teas to cookies and cakes. They have three different locations in the St. Louis area: Chesterfield, Fenton and Macklind. Though pricey, the food definitely is above and beyond.

Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chesterfield location, Russel’s offers a clean, calm atmosphere with lots of tables, both inside and out. This is definitely a highlight of the cafe as it becomes crowded quickly, especially on weekends.

The interior felt very welcoming, with a light space that had simple yet filling decorations. The main counter took up most of the front of the cafe along with a dining counter. The menu wraps around the wall behind the counter, as well, so there’s rarely a blank space on the wall or in the display case.

While their menu is extensive, their baked goods are sure to be highlighted. The case is filled with multiple trays of cakes, cookies, scones, muffins and more. Presentation is something Russell’s excels with as well. The cakes are decorated beautifully and there are plenty of goods to choose from.

The only minor complaint I have is the price. One square of chocolate chip gooey butter cake was roughly five dollars. Though expensive, the piece was worth every penny, even if I wouldn’t buy something like that all of the time.

Russell’s Cafe and Bakery is definitely a place I will be stopping by again in order to get a taste of everything they have to offer, which is sure to exceed expectations.

Currently, Russell’s Cafe and Bakery is only offering take-out and delivery services in an attempt to reduce possible transmission of COVID-19. For pre-order pick-up meals that are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Russell’s requires that the call or order must be placed the day before estimated pick up.
