Vaughan, an experienced Tae Kwon Do instructor
February 3, 2015
Many high school students work and some have very interesting jobs, but senior John “Tucker” Vaughan has a very unique job. Vaughan is a Tae Kwon Do instructor at St. Louis Family Martial Arts Academy who teaches children fundamental moves and techniques.
“My job at the Tae Kwon Do school is to teach kids the basics of martial arts,” Vaughan said.
He started working at the martial arts school at the beginning of his sophomore year. Vaughan has been working there for a little over two years and really enjoys his job.
The positive atmosphere, cheerful kids and fun co-workers make it a special experience for Vaughan. Also, his job helps him develop his leadership skills because he has to keep the kids under control and focused.
“It’s very unique because most students that I know of haven’t taken Tae Kwon Do for as long as I have,” Vaughan said.
