Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Through These Halls: Reichert has never visited Steak N’ Shake

Through These Halls: Reichert has never visited Steak N Shake

Steak n’ Shake, Five Guys, and Dairy Queen are popular fast food chains that everybody knows and has eaten at. Well, almost everybody.

Freshman Megan Reichert has never gone to any of these places, due to her sister’s severe peanut allergy.

“Even if I breathe on her after eating any kind of nuts, she’ll have to go to the hospital,” Reichert said.

Her sister, Melanie, is currently an eighth grader at Rockwood Valley Middle School. At lunch, Melanie has to sit at a table that is specifically peanut-free.

“If someone was sitting next to her eating peanuts, she would have a reaction,” Megan said.

Any place that could have food that was tainted by nuts of any kind is a possible hazard, but her family has found places they can go such as Olive Garden and Subway.

But since her family has had these limitations since her sister was born, it doesn’t really affect Megan’s life.

“I don’t even think about it anymore,” Reichert said.
