Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”
Nine AP exams will transition to digital format in 2025, additional six in 2026

Through these halls: Jackie Reinbott, a sophomore who doesnt horse around

The average person may have one dog or a cat or two, but very few people can say that they have eight pets; only one of which is a dog.

However, sophomore Jackie Reinbott does: a dog, Beauty; a guinea pig, Usher; a rabbit, Sugar; three chickens, Chloe, Olive and Bluebelle; two horses, Angel and Cassie.

As hard as it is to believe, Reinbott had more than eight animals.

Unfortunately, four of the chickens became victim to a fox while the family was on vacation the summer of 2012 and the family had to sell one of their horses, Beau, due to violent tendencies.

Reinbott has a special connection to each one of her animals. Beauty, a Goldendoodle (mix of a Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle) was a gift for her seventh birthday.

“She’s been the best present I’ve gotten so far. [My family and I] constantly tell her that she lives up to her name,” Reinbott said. “She’s not vain, though.”

Reinbott’s eleven year old sister wanted a pet of her own too, so in Dec. 2010 she picked out a black guinea pig and named it after her favorite singer, Usher Raymond.

Reinbott used to ride horses, but now it is just her parents and younger sisters that do.

The Reinbott use the chickens for their eggs, and they produce about one egg a day.

Reinbott said, “I like having so many animals because I’m an animal-lover and think it’s cool to say that I have three chickens–which is not something everyone can say.”
