Social Studies teacher Steve Klawiter will have his AP World History class take the digital exam this May. He said he looks forward to seeing how his students will perform on the exam. “Its been very clear theyre moving towards digital. Since the pandemic started, theyve been putting the pieces in place to go digital, Klawiter said. “I think that ultimately it’s going to be more beneficial because with systems like Canvas and Google Classroom, students are used to more digital activities and less handwriting activities.”

Sean Alexander is a Renaissance man

Senior Sean Alexander is an Indian Catholic, athletic pianist, Canadian American and he is pretty good at making sushi. Alexander is a Renaissance man.

“I am devastatingly good looking. Some people cannot even make eye contact with me,” Alexander said.

Whether it be coincidence or God-given attributes, Alexander is unique among the student body. Born in Toronto, Canada, having lived from New Jersey to Missouri in the United States, and having experienced his roots in India, Alexander has both unique perspectives as well as unique talents.

During high school, Alexander has been involved in a wide array of activities. From the football and chess teams to track and Key Club, he has experienced many sides of the school experience. He is the editor-in-chief of the DVD Yearbook, which he is been on for three years.

Acting is another area of interest for Alexander, as he has been involved in drama since attending high school in Virginia his freshman year, and he has most recently taken part in One Acts.

Alexander has also taken part in volunteering for both libraries and animal shelters. Outside of school, piano has been a passion for Alexander for the past 12 years. “I started with a Russian teacher who saw great potential in me. I kept [lessons] up until moving here, and now I just learn by ear most of the songs I play,” he said.

He also enjoys cooking, making everything from Parmesan chicken to sushi from scratch. “All my friends come over and they are like ‘Sean, Sean! Make us sushi!’ and I say, “You know guys, I will do it this one time just for you.’ I do it every time,” Alexander said.

From world experience as well as attempts at comedy, Alexander has become proficient in performing over 10 accents from Indian and English to Russian and Scottish. “Accents are one of my many fortes. It is just a way to make people laugh and something I love doing and am naturally good at,” he said.

He is a man of academics, athletics and the arts. With a cultured perspective and a variety of talents, Alexander definitely stands out among the student body.
