Students compete in HOSA State Leadership Conference

Junior Grace Rook, junior Dylan Kutun, sophomore Katie Tremper and sophomore Audrey Krone receive third place medals for their creation of a public service announcement about Prediabetes

On April 26-27, Lafayette students traveled to Rolla to compete in the annual HOSA State Leadership Conference.

Out of the 57 students that participated, 13 students became State finalists. These students are:

  • Clara Tarpey: 1st place in Veterinarian Science
  • Malayka Walton: 2nd place in Medical Termanology
  • Audrey Krone, Dylan Kutun, Grace Rook and Katie Tremper: 3rd place in Public Service Announcement
  • Sadhana Matheswaran and Sara Parikh: 1st place in Healthcare Display
  • Jonathan Ebenezer: 2nd place in Epidemiology
  • Sanjana Kumar: 3rd place in Epidemiology
  • Gehrig Prozorowski: 3rd place in Pathophysiology
  • Aimee Yang: 1st place in Transcultural Healthcare
  • Prathi Pitchiyaiah: 2nd place in Medical Math

These students will now get the chance to go to Dallas, TX to compete in HOSA 41st Annual National Leadership Conference.

  • Nick Dygert: Dental Science
  • Calia Gammill: Epidemiology
  • Abbas Khan, Atul Srinivasan, Kevin Qi and Sanath Srinivasan: HOSA Bowl
