Varsity softball picks up fourth win
September 10, 2015
The varsity softball team had a solid outing against the Summit Falcons at Summit on Sept. 2.
The Lady Lancers handed the Falcons their second loss of the season with a 3-2 victory. With this win, the team now has a record of 4-4.
Last year the team went 18-4 and finished first in conference. So far this year, the team stands in last place in conference but will look to turn that around quickly.
“We are 4-4, we can always improve,” Varsity softball coach Ashley Lewis said. “Pitching and defense are our key.”
With three seniors on the team this year and a promising lineup, the team is ready to come out strong.
“We have some amazing talent on our team and could succeed when we’re working together,” outfielder Lauren Kulick said.
The team’s next match-up will take place against the Lindbergh Flyers on Sept. 10
