Second senior yearbook portrait session set for Aug. 8

August 3, 2014
The second date for senior portraits is Friday, Aug. 8. from 4-8 p.m. in the Commons.
Rather than having to drive to a studio on their own time, students can come to Lafayette for portraits. This will ensure that every senior has a picture in the yearbook.
Photos will be taken by Inter-State Studio. Seniors whose last names begin with A-F will have photos taken at 4 p.m., G-L 5 p.m., M-R 6 p.m. and S-Z 7 p.m.
Students will get four poses and the company will create 20 different photos that students can choose from. These photos will be in the yearbook and on student IDs, so seniors will not be required to get a photo taken during registration. Girls are required to wear clothing that is not sleeveless, strapless or low-cut, and boys are suggested to wear a shirt and tie, but may wear a collared shirt.
The first date of portraits was Thursday, July 24.
Yearbook adviser Nancy Smith, nearly 240 students were photographed during that first session. She said, “The new system is awesome. It is quick and easy. I especially like the fact that students get a great portrait that will also be their ID photo.”
As an incentive for students to come to the first date of pictures, the Legend provided a free semester of parking to four students that showed up to get their pictures taken. The four students selected were Nick Ashdown, Thomas Bell, Jessica Burleski and Stephanie Widdicombe.
After the Aug. 8 photo session, a final make-up date will be scheduled to make sure each senior has a photo taken.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
