Turnabout has changed drastically this year. Turnabout will take place Feb. 26 from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Much like Homecoming, there will be lunch activities the week of the dance.
Only seniors will be allowed to participate in the activities such as a jello eating contest and ‘water war’ (the card game of war where when you win, you spill water over the loser. Only males will be allowed to participate in this activity). The winners receive a pair of Prom tickets.
In addition, there are dress-up days scheduled:
Tuesday, Feb. 22-Neon Day
Wednesday, Feb. 23-College Day
Thursday, Feb. 24- Nerd Day
Friday, Feb, 25-Spirit Day
This year’s Turnabout will be a semi-formal blacklight dance, and the first 300 guests will receive a door prize of glow in the dark sunglasses.
Also, there will be very little slow dancing. “The dance itself will be all techno music. There’s no slow dancing,” STUCO sponsor David Choate said.
He added, “The rave cave will be open!”
Tickets will be on sale for $10 on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 23-24. On Feb. 23 only, Renaissance students will also receive a 10 percent discount. Tickets will go up to $15 on Friday, Feb. 25.
