Nearly 30 Superfans attended a three-hour tailgate before the Sept. 24 football game against Northwest. They were rewarded for their support in a big way as the Lancers dominated the Lions 40-0. And it really didn’t even seem that close.
Juniors Dominic Bisesi (207 yards on 14-19 passing) and Will Dupont had huge games for the second straight week as the offense moved the ball at will with a steady downfield passing attack. Even that wasn’t enough to overshadow a dominating performance by the defense, which scored 11 points on its own and rarely allowed the Lions into Lafayette territory.
After forcing three straight punts and a turnover to start the game, the Lancers took a quick 13-0 on a 5-yard touchdown pass to Dupont and two field goals by senior Max Zaun. The tipping point came when Northwest intercepted a pass by Bisesi, but fumbled on the return and watched senior Chris Hall scoop it up near midfield and take off for a touchdown.
Later on, the Lancers marched the length of the field down to Northwest’s goal line only to be stopped on fourth down. But after forcing a three-and-out, they blocked a punt in the end zone and recovered it for a touchdown to make it 19-0. A safety just before halftime extended the lead to 21-0.
The second half was equally one-sided and just as exciting. Dupont scored his second touchdown of the game on a jaw-dropping 67-yard reverse followed by a short score by junior Tyler Manne late in the fourth quarter. Zaun’s third field goal and another safety added the finishing touches as the Lancers improved to 2-3 on the season.

[Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
