Dressed up as a department, the Guidance and Counseling Department enjoys the music at the staff Halloween event. The department dressed up as self-care-bears, representing the care they have for students.

Entering the competition as a FACS Department, their costumes are representative of stay-at-home moms from the 50s. They followed up their costumes with a dance performance dedicated to their theme. FACS teacher Lauren Arnet believes their theme helps go against some FACS stereotypes. "A lot of people equate FACS with old school home economics, where it’s just women who stay home with babies, cook and sew [but] it’s evolved a lot. Now we have housing and interior design and learn more about child development. Our food programs are more than just cooking at home, leading up to our culinary program, so it’s just a throwback to what some parents, grandparents or even some of our students think FACS is going to be like," Arnet said.

At the Parkway West Dale Shepard Invitational, Lancers run. Senior Jack Robeson placed 2nd while the team placed 3rd overall.

Class of 2023 graduates throw their graduation caps into the air at the Chaifetz Arena. While graduation was held there this past year, the Class of 2024 will graduate at The Family Arena, which is four minutes closer to Lafayette.
