Lafayette racquetball travels to Oregon for National tournament

Varsity girls number one seed, sophomore Hannah Werk, and mixed doubles partner Will Sherman battle against Parkway West's mixed doubles team. Parkway defeated the Lafayette mixed doubles team, Hannah said, "I was more composed this year compared to last year, and it really helped me already having been to a big tournament like this."
From Feb. 26 to March 1, the Lafayette racquetball team traveled to Portland, Oregon to compete in the USA Racquetball National tournament. Last year, the tournament was hosted in St. Louis, and the team ended up placing fourth in the Nation. This year, the tournament grew to even more teams, and Lafayette placed fifth. Individual members ranked high across all categories including singles matches, doubles matches and mixed doubles matches.
