For the second straight game, the Lancers recieved a complete game from their starting pitching staff as senior Chris Hall went the distance and pushed the team to a 10-3 victory against Pacific. Providing the run support was seniors Khalfani Mar’Na and junior Will Dupont, who each drove in three runs to lead Lafayette into the Class 4, District 4 championship game tonight.
Already up 2-1 going into the third inning, the Lancers blew the game open with five runs in the bottom half. After seniors Ryan Masfield and Khalfani Mar’Na each drove in a run, senior Jake Busiek added two more with a two-run single. Junior Tyler Manne would make it 7-1 with a sac fly later in the inning.
That was more than enough for Hall, who struck out seven and allowed just two more runs from then on.
“I was able to locate all my pitches and throw them for strikes. My changeup was pretty good, that’s been my go-to pitch all year,” Hall said.
While it may seem like the Lancers caugth a break when Eureka beat top-seeded Parkway South (22-5) — ranked fourth in St. Louis by www.stlhighschoolsports.com — in the ohter semifinal game, they might have just as much trouble against Eureka. The Wildcats exploded in a 16-1 win that marked their sixth win in seven games.
“We already beat them twice (this season), so we’re confident we can beat them again. We expected to play Parkway South but we’re going to play hard and get a title just like we set out to,” Busiek said.
Lafayette and Eureka will play the District championship game tonight at Ballwin Athletic Association, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

![Watching a small group scrimmage, Ben Lundt, St. Louis City SC goalkeeper and founder of Lundt Pro Soccer Training, shouts words of encouragement to players on Sunday, April 26 n the Lafayette grass soccer field. “The idea behind [the event] was to bring the professional soccer players closer to the community because usually people only get to see us on TV or in the stadium. [Families] actually having the opportunity to have their kids on the field with us is the most important aspect,” Ben Lundt said.](https://lancerfeed.press/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IMG_6823-1200x800.jpg)
