At the 2023 Prom, Class of 2023 graduates Joe Marlo and Will Barry stay at the edge of the main floor to do their dancing. Because the small dance floor was the most crowded area, many students gathered around the edges with friends or in small groups.

Boys swimming dominates Kirkwood

Looking to defend last season’s Conference title, the Lancers got off to a good start with a 139-47 win over Kirkwood on Aug. 31. The team had nine race times and diving scores qualify for State. They are as follows:

  • 200-meter medley relay- (senior Alex Vavra, juniors Lucas Bruder and Alec Morgan and freshman Patrick Vega)1:45.30
  • 400 freestyle relay- (Vavra, , sophomores Jon Glaser, sophomore Connor Parsons and Vega)  3:31.35
  • 200 freestyle- 1:47.71 (Vega) and 1:50.97 (Glaser)
  • 500 freestyle- 4:51.50 (Vega) and 5:00.01 (Glaser)
  • 100 freestyle- 50.66 (Morgan)
  • 200 IM- 2:07.81 (Bruder)
  • Diving- 252.00 (senior Coleman Swisher)

The team’s next meet takes place on Sept. 7 against Parkway West.
