Weekly sports update: Jan. 20-Jan. 26

Boys Basketball: The Lancers defeated Wentzville Liberty 63-59 on Tuesday, Jan 21. Also they took down the Marquette Mustangs on Jan. 24 leaving a score of 52-42. Currently, their record stands at 8-6. On Feb. 3, the Lancers will travel to Pattonville to make up their previously canceled game against the Pirates.  

Boys Wrestling: Continuing their undefeated season, varsity boys wrestling beat Lindbergh 66-12, making their season so far 11-0. They also competed in the Winnetonka invitational where Gabe Frankenberger, Tommy Hagan, and Jalin Reese all placed third in their individual weight classes. 

Girls Basketball: The Lady Lancers faced the Oakville Tigers on Jan. 21 and won 41-40. They also beat McCluer North 57-42 on Jan. 25. They hope to improve their 5-10 record as they face the Timberland Wolves on Tuesday, Jan. 28. 

Girls Swimming and Diving: Varsity Girls Swimming and Diving beat the Eureka Wildcats 101-85. On Saturday Jan. 25, they also competed at the Incarnate Word Invitational, where Maggie Arceneaux placed fourth in her event. Their next meet will be their senior night on Thursday, Jan. 30 against Parkway West at home. 

Girls Wrestling: On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Lancers beat the Lindbergh Flyers in a close match, with a final score of 30-24.

Ice Hockey: The Lancers played their last game of the regular season against SLUH on Jan. 24. They lost in a close match, 2-1, leaving their record at 10-9-2. They will play again in the Round Robin playoffs in the upcoming weeks.
