Lancers soccer excels with six-game winning streak

After a rocky season starter, the girls soccer team has stepped up to accomplish a six game winning streak going into competiton against Hazelwood West.

Leading the team in goals, senior Ashley Parks with four and junior Natalie Quisenberry, three, the girls have continued to play steady offense against any competitor. Senior CeCe Hessler has proven to be a powerhouse goalie this season with six wins and 30 saves.

With a record of 4-5, the Hazelwood West Wildcats have struggled to execute goals under pressure, but sophomore goalie  Brianna Williams has remained competitive against star upperclassmen with 42 saves this season.

The yound Wildcats team is led by junior Kayley Hill with four goals this season. The Lancers must shut down West’s key shooters and take advantage of the winning momentum and home turf.

Competition starts at 4:15 p.m. at home on Thurs. April 18.
